I have recently received this awesome lens in the mail.

I found it to be absolutely amazing lens, with the ultra fast f1.2 speed and it's sharp even at that aperture (even at the corners), although with a hint of veiling so it masks the sharpness.

By stopping down to f2, it's sharp all over, really, seriously. Even sharp at the edge of the frame.

What an amazing little gem this is.

It meters on my D300s, and it will meter on these bodies: D200s, D2 or D3 cameras. The only little downfall (if you can call it that) is the manual focus bit.

But optically and mechanically this is as good as it gets, no electronics to stuff around with, just a plain old metal barrel or metal-nearly-everything lens.

No one makes lenses like these anymore. Sigh.
